Gordon Allen Rauber 83, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016. He resided at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. Gordon was born on April T, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri to Violet & Edgar Rauber. Gordon graduated from East High School in 1951. Prior to graduation Gordon entered into the U.S. Nary and was Honorably Discharged in September 1950. He was a member of the ROTC at East High School and was a Expert Marksman. Gordon was married to Georgia Lee Pruesner on June 3, 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma and resided in Kansas City, MO area, then moved to Independence, Missouri until moving to the Truman Lake area where he built their home. Gordon worked for the Railroad for approximately 15 years. After that he worked as a Cement Finisher for 29 years for the Plasterers & Cement Masons Local Union 518 until he retired. Gordon loved to hunt, fish and garden in his free time. 1n 2004 Gordon got his private pilots license and bought a Cessna 172. He enjoyed flying to different locations and sharing his love of flying with other people. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Georgia of 39 years, mother and father, brothers and Douglas Rauber, John Rauber and a sister Shirley Ann Rauber. Gordon was survived by his daughters, Gina Peters of lndependence, MO, Susan Robertson and husband Bob of Independence, MO, four grandchildren Patrick Peters of Columbia, MO, Katie Mashburn and Husband Steve of Independence, MO, Andrew Robertson and Aaron Robertson of Independence, MO.
