Raymond Edward Maus, a dedicated individual who worked for 38 years at General Motors, passed away on June 15, 2024, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 9, 1941, in Schell City, Missouri in a small house by the Osage river, to Ralph and Leota (Harvey) Maus.
During Raymond's 38-year career at General Motors he met and married his wife Deanna in 1985. Their bond was a testament to true love. Described as a devoted family man, Raymond's pride and joy were his family. He valued his role as a husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather above all else. Those who knew him could attest to his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. Beyond his professional and familial roles, Raymond found solace and enjoyment in various hobbies and interests. He cherished moments spent boating, water skiing, traveling to new destinations, fishing with loved ones, grilling delicious meals, and simply relaxing on the deck and by the lake.
Raymond Maus's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Maus; daughter, Rashell (Mike) Sabaugh; son, Monty (Linda) Maus; stepdaughter, Nikki Chrisman; stepson, Douglas (Susan) Noland; grandchildren, Maggy Roth, Mason Roth, Emma Roth, Jessy (Chris) Barningham, Savannah (Mike) Martin, Robert Noland, Joe Berrigan, Calley (Ryan) Johnson and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delbert (Shirley) Maus, Ronald Maus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Leota Maus; and grandson, Jacob Maus.
A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Missouri 64052. Following this will be the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Graveside Service will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Schell City at 1:30 PM on the same day.
Raymond will forever be remembered for his dedication to family, hard work as a proud union worker, and the love he shared with all those around him.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations to be made to St. Luke's Foundation.
