Jamie Marie Reade, 16, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Paonia, CO following and explosion at a ski lodge where she lived and worked. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Buckner, MO. The family will greet friends following the services at the church. Donation may be made in Jamie Marie Reade Memorial Fund at any of the First National Bank locations. Jamie Marie was born January 6, 1989 in Kansas City, MO to James and Stacey (Langley) Reade. She was currently living in Atherton, MO and enjoyed writing poetry, photography, listening to music and dancing. She also had a dream of becoming a cosmetologist. She had attended Fort Osage High School until February of this year when she moved to Colorado to work in her families ski lodge. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buckner. She had received awards for her poems through entries on poetry.com. Jamie will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by; her father and step mother, James and Melissa Reade of the home; her mother, Stacey Barricks of Leavenworth, KS; 2 sisters, Ashley & Kayla Reade of the home; 2 half sisters, Autumn and Amber Barricks of Gladstone, MO; a step sister, Dominieke Neasham of Napoleon, MO; a half brother, Blake Reade of Liberty, MO; a step brother, Joseph Anderson of the home; maternal grandparents, Wayne Langley of Arkansas and Karen Langley of Galdstone, MO; paternal grandparents, Clara Livizey of Sibley, MO; step grandmother, Rosemary Robinette of Oak Grove, MO numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
