Neomia Faye Reaves, 86, passed away on February 1, 2015, in Warsaw, MO.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, from 7-9:00pm, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 6, at 11:00am.
Neomia was born on September 17, 1928, to Ray and Clara (Miller) Goin in Columbus, Kansas. She lived in various states throughout her life prior to settling in Independence, MO. Here she met and married Merle Reaves, and together they raised six children. During her life, she worked as a restaurant owner. She loved her family and fishing was her favorite hobby.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Merle “Mack,” of the home; 5 children: David Beyers, of Blue Springs, MO; Judy Vickery, of Bates City, MO; John Beyers, of the home; Teresa Alvis, of Sibley, MO; and Steven German, of the home; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Melvin Agnew.
The family suggests contributions be made to Neomia Reaves Memorial Fund, in care of Hawthorn Bank.
