Lucille Resch, 84, of Independence, MO passed away on Monday November 7, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. A visitation will be held from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9th at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Centerplace Restoration Branch School. Lucille was born on June 9, 1921 in Elwood, KS to George W. and Julia A. A. Culp. She was a life-long member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was a member of the South Crysler Restoration Branch at the time of her death. She was married to Gordon Lee Resch in the RLDS Stone Church on October 17, 1941 at the age of 20. She and her husband were married for just over 50 years before his death in 1991. She was well known and loved by many in the community. For many years, she was an active member in the Independence Messiah Choir, the Auditorium Laurel Club, and the PanaDelpha Club. Her working career included several years as a meat wrapper for the Safeway Stores and over 17 years as clerk and assistant manager of the Elko Camera Store in Independence, MO. Lucille is survived by her four children, Roger Resch and his wife Kathie, Howard Resch and his wife, Joanne, Marilyn Bates and her husband, Joseph, and Robert Resch and his wife, Linda. She was blessed with seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
