Wayne Retherford

Wayne Retherford, 77, of Lee's Summit, MO passed away December 27, 2014.
Wayne was born January 7, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas to Charlie and Isabel Retherford. He was an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance Group before starting an independent agency, Epic Insurance, LLC. As a member of First Baptist Raytown for nearly 40 years he served as a deacon, on numerous committees and also enjoyed volunteering in many areas. He relished traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, CW and 3 nephews. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Eunice; daughter, Vicki Crisafulli (Paul); sons, Michael (Liane); Mark (Kym); 10 grand children who all called him Papa, 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lester (Betty); twin brother Dwayne (Delacia); Lewis (Judy); a sister Dorothy Eichler (Buddy); and sister-in-law, Exa Retherford; 3 foster sisters, Joann, Donna, and Leta; many nieces, nephews and family.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at First Baptist Raytown; 10500 Missouri Hwy 350, Raytown, MO 64138. Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Mission Ridge Cemetery, Urbana, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Raytown.
