Virginia Avis Reynolds

Virginia Avis Reynolds, 86, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Parish Outreach. Virginia was born March 21, 1921 in Timbo, AR to Matthew and Alice (Fuller) Thomas. Mrs. Reynolds was a faithful and active member of the church participating in the Food Pantry. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Virginia loved her family and centered her life around theirs. Mrs. Reynolds was a nature lover and could be found gardening, walking, fishing or planning a picnic. Virginia is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leslie O. Reynolds; daughter Rixie Adams and husband Ed; grandchildren Leslie Still, Lori Hanaway, Jeff Adams, Mindy VanPool, Sherry Lusby; eleven great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; two nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ramona Alice Coe in 1996 and her brother John Thomas.
