Martha Ann Rhodelander, 60, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 29, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Sat., Feb. 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 611 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050; interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 pm, Friday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052, followed by visitation until 8 pm.
Martha was born Nov. 7, 1952 in Independence, MO. She graduated from Bishop O’Hara High School before earning a BS in German from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. She was a claims adjuster for the Government Employees Hospital Assoc. where she had worked for thirty-two years. She loved animals, especially dogs, and had devoted her life to her parents and animals. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Mildred Rhodelander and brother Robert Louis Rhodelander. She is survived by sister Carmen Kliefoth and husband Robert, Liberty, MO; brother John Rhodelander and wife Susan, Independence, MO and many nieces and nephews.
