Rhonda Rae Enke, 64, of Independence, MO, lost her battle against Melanoma cancer on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Rhonda was born March 28, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to John L. and Shirley (Mays) Rezek. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1978. On September 17, 1988 she married Matthew Lloyd Enke. Their union was blessed with 2 children, Allison and Brandon. She proudly worked for Children’s Mercy Hospital for 45 years.
Rhonda was baptized on April 25, 1991 and confirmed on April 29, 1991. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Rhonda’s favorite pastimes included sewing, baking, photography, going to garage sales, traveling to Disney World and Silver Dollar City and, most of all, spending time with her six grandsons.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband Matthew of Independence, MO; children Allison (Joshua) Wooster of Independence, MO and Brandon (Erin) Enke of O’Fallon, MO; her mother, Shirley Rezek of Kansas City, MO; a brother, John W. Rezek of Kansas City, MO; and her 6 grandsons, Josiah, Maverick, and Miles Wooster, and Sebastian, Quinten, and Ean Enke; as well as many other loved family members and friends.
Services to honor and celebrate Rhonda’s life will take place at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 700 NE Chipman Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2024 with a graveside service and interment at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin, MO.
