Henry Louis Rice Jr.

Henry Louis Rice, Jr., 90, of Independence, passed away January, 22, 2018. A visitation will be held Tues. Jan 30th from 5-7:00pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO 64055. A graveside with full military honors will be Wed., Jan 31st 10:00am at Mound Grove Cemetery, 1818 N River Blvd., Independence, MO 64050. Henry was born Feb. 9, 1927 to Henry, Sr. and Nellie (Foree) Rice. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1945 and worked as a truck driver for The KC Shipper’s Association for 32 years. Henry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara and his sister. He is survived by his sons, John and his wife, Mary D. and Henry III; grandchildren, John, Stacey, Laura Beth, Karen, Rachel, Christina, Michael and Audrey; as well as, several great-grandchildren.
