Richard R. Cox, beloved father, grandfather, and friend of Warrensburg, MO passed away on August 13, 2024, in Harrisonville, Missouri, at the age of 94. Born on August 3, 1930, he had lived in Independence, Odessa, and Warrensburg.
Richard enjoyed camping and square dancing in the past, but he got to realize his true passion for horses and trail riding during the last 24 years with his partner Berdina Zink.
Week-long trail rides became a cherished tradition for him, he was very proud to be the oldest rider for the last few years.
Richard is survived by his children; David Cox, Deborah (Debbie) Cox; grandchildren, Jason Cox, Justin Cox, Amber Cox, Daniel Cox, Andrea Haskel, Brian Haskel; multiple great grandchildren; and Extended family and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents
Louis and Mamie (Echols) Cox and siblings, Effie McCollum, Abe Cox, Norman Cox, Robert Cox, Russell Cox, Edna Cox, and Joe Cox.
In remembering Richard R. Cox, we celebrate a life that flourished through a deep appreciation for nature, adventures, moments with cherished companions and family. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
