Bennie Glen Richardson, 68 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at his residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10:00 a.m., Thursday morning at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or City Union Mission. Bennie was born November 20, 1938 in Melbourne, AR and grew up and graduated from Melbourne High School before entering the Army in the late 1950�s where he served as an MP for NATO in France. He was a longtime member of the Steelworker�s Union local #13 in Kansas City before he retired. He enjoyed all types of outdoor activities including; mowing, nature watching, water sports, rodeo�s and playing with his dogs. He attended Raytown Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vickie Richardson, of the home; a son, Michael Dawson and daughter, Jana Ulry both of Chicago, IL; a grandson, Jamie Hays of Chicago, IL; 3 brothers, Jim, Joe and Raybern Richardson and a half sister, Rita Palmarino.
