Verna Belle Carolyn Richardson, 82, Bella Vista, AR formerly of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.
Carolyn was born June 18, 1931 in Newman Grove, NE the daughter of August and Cordula (Pose) Beltz. She worked for 19 years with Kmart, retiring in 1993 as personnel manager. She later worked for Country Meadows Antique Mall for 8 years. Carolyn was an associate member of Forrest Hill Baptist Church in Bella Vista, AR. She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, and traveling.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband James Richardson in 2008; three brothers; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters; Glenna Osborn and her partner, Randy Herigon, Victoria Richardson and her husband, Steven Due; son, Steven Eugene Richardson and his partner, Lori Veach; grandchildren, Jeffrey Neathery, Vicke Gilbert, Rachel Metzdorf, Ryan Richardson, and Clint Richardson; eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, LaVaughn Hotchkin; brother, Ormonde Beltz and his wife Carolyn; and additional nieces, nephews and family.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. A celebration of her live will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
