Edward Richeson, 87, of Independence, MO, passed away December 3, 2016. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Independence, MO. Inurnment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Brownington, MO. Edward was born July 29, 1929, in Deepwater, MO to Arthur and Ruth (Furcht) Richeson. He was involved with Troop 221 of the Boy Scouts of America and member of the Tribe of Mic-o-Say, and was a proud father of three Eagle Scouts. Edward worked at Certain-Teed for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Edward was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeanette Richeson; and two brothers. He is survived by his five children, Gary Richeson (Celina), Cathy Hartford (Mike), John Richeson, Mary Harvison, Michael Richeson (Janie); seven grandchildren, Brian Richeson, Melanie Oxley, Rachel Hartford, Ian Hartford, Lauren Salley, Erin Richeson and Jennifer Richeson; as well as four great grandchildren.
