Robert Riddle

Robert Raymond “Bob” Riddle, 84, of Independence, MO died surrounded by family on October 19, 2018. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Oct. 26 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 El. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday at the chapel.
Bob was born on October 31, 1933 at home in Independence, MO to C.O. and Vera Grace Riddle, the second of two children. Bob graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1951 and worked at TWA 1951-1984. He met his future wife Reba (Chapman) at TWA, and they were married in 1964 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, NV.
Bob will be remembered for his dry wit, his ambivalence about holidays and his commitment to his family and friends. He was loved deeply and will be missed.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years Reba Riddle of Independence, MO, his son Rick Riddle and wife Shelley, his daughter Julie Riddle and wife Donna Farber; his five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence Oliver and Vera Grace Riddle of Independence, MO; his sister, Jeanette Baker (née Riddle) of Independence, MO; his son Steven Riddle of Springfield, MO and his grandson Luke Riddle of Lee’s Summit, MO.
