Annalee Riepe

Annalee Riepe, 98, of Independence, MO passed away June 28, 2012 at The Groves. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Monday, July 2, at The Groves Community Room. Burial will be at Mound Grove Cemetery. Ann was born February 3, 1914 in Burlington, IA to Ralph and Minnie (Ortleb) Welday. She was a woman of great faith and hope. Her passion was taking care of her family and her walk with God. She also devoted her life in service to the Community of Christ Church, various hospitals and was a long-time member of the Laurel Club and the Independence Regional Hospital Auxilary. Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Riepe; two daughters, Nancy Lee Cranmer and Georganne Shirley. She is survived by her grandson, John Cranmer and his wife Gretchen; as well as one great granddaughter, Sheila Cranmer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
