Mark Allen Rife, 53, Kearney, MO passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home.
Mark was born May 13, 1959 in Kansas City, MO the son of Donald and Donna (Andrae) Rife. He worked in the railroad industry his entire life and most recently with New York Airbrake. Mark enjoyed playing golf, collecting guns and was an honest and joyful man to be around.
He was preceded in death by his father; Donald Rife in 1993 and nephew, Corey Lee Stuck in 2008.
Survivors include his daughters, Othel Renee, and Donna Rae; his companion and love of his life, Bonnie Pittman; mother, Donna Kay Rife; sisters, Lisa Rife, and Jeanne Stuck and husband Bill; as well as his niece, nephews, aunts and numerous co-workers whom he considered family.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A celebration of Mark’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, Independence Animal Shelter to honor his love for animals.
