William Anthony "Bill" Riley

William Anthony "Bill� Riley, 46, Independence, Mo. went to live in Heaven on Oct. 6, 2004. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Oct. 8 at Crown Pointe Assembly of God Church, 5950 N.E. Lakewood Way, Lee�s Summit, Mo.; interment at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Thursday, Oct. 7 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family requests contributions to the Shriners Burn Hospital. Bill was born July 2, 1958 in K.C., MO. and graduated from Ruskin High School in 1976. He was a firefighter for the Kansas City Fire Dept. and retried as a Battalion Chief in Dec., 2002 after serving for 25 years. He joined the Liberty Fire Dept. in Aug., 2003 and was the Deputy Chief of Emergency Medical Service. Bill was recognized as Firefighter of the Year in 1996 for his outstanding service to the community. He was very active in his church, taught Sunday School at Pebble Creek Assembly of God, was a past Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters Assoc., and a Past Vice President of the Nottingham Estates Home Assoc. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Riley and mother, Waneta Riley. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Riley, of the home; children Shawn Dickey, Greenwood, IN; Dionne Riley, Blue Springs, MO; and Landon Riley, of the home; brother, Frank Riley, Belton, MO; mother, Sharon Riley, Harrisonville, MO; brother Phillip Walker, Bentonville, AR; brother, Scott Walker, Kansas; sister Kim Schank, Harrisonville, MO; brother Eric Walker, Liberty, MO; and grandchildren LoriRay Cocherell, Caitlyn Dickey, and Anthony Dickey.
