Robert Kent Gearke

Robert Kent Gearke, 72, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on February 18, 2025, at his home. Mr. Gearke, known to friends and family as Bob, was born January 18, 1953, in Le Mars, Iowa to Glenn & Ruth (Rohlfson) Gearke. He moved to the Kansas City area following graduation from the Iowa State University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career at Armco Inc, working through the ranks over the years, ultimately serving as the General Manager until its closure in 2001. In retirement, Bob remained active in real estate, farming, and spending time with family. Survivors include his daughter Crystal Riggs (Brent Riggs), his son Nathan Gearke (Angelina Gearke), and grandchildren Charlotte Riggs, Tristan Riggs, Toby Gearke, Gwen Gearke, Louis Gearke, Owen Gearke, and Johanna Gearke. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Gary Gearke and Rodney Gearke. Visitation and memorial will be held at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa, on March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a graveside service to follow at 4:00 PM at Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.
