Bob was awarded the Honorary Chapter Degrees Outstanding Service Award. In the end years of farming, Bob specialized in growing asparagus on all 45 acres. He was known at the University of Washington as the best asparagus grower in the state. Later in his life, Bob became a realtor specializing in commercial and farm sales.
