Robert “Bob” Joe Seigfreid, 80, passed away on February 5, 2024. As per Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service held.
Bob was born July 10, 1943. He was a born in Keokuk, Iowa. His family lived on a farm near Adrian, Illinois. Around the age 12, he moved with his family to Independence, Missouri.
Bob met his wife Lynn at a school dance at William Chrisman High School. Bob graduated from Chrisman, in 1961. Bob and Lynn were married in 1964 and celebrated 60 wonderful years together. Bob and Lynn raised 2 children, Collett and Lance.
Bob worked for Western Electric for 30 years. He retired at the young age of 48, and then became a handyman and expert gardener. He spent many years making his yard an outdoor paradise with fish ponds and beautiful landscaping. When he couldn’t tend to his yard, Bob enjoyed researching and compiling his family’s history and genealogy.
Bob enjoyed visiting Cargo Largo often to find some good deals. He also enjoyed listening to good music. Some of his favorites were Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.
Survivors include his wife Lynn Seigfreid, daughter Collett Fields, son Lance Seigfreid (Laura), granddaughters Courtney Strong (Kade), Nedra Seigfreid, Tessa Seigfreid, great-grandchildren Reece and Graham Strong, and his sister Linda Warmbrodt. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Garnett and Wayne Seigfreid and son-in-law, Mark Fields.
