Robert David “Bob” Tuckness, passed away on April 21, 2024, in Independence, MO. He was born on May 14, 1958, in Kansas City, MO. Bob led a remarkable life filled with love, dedication, and passion.
Bob was a skillful automotive mechanic by trade and excelled in his profession with unwavering commitment. He attended East High School before enlisting in the United States Army. His sense of duty and honor led him to complete a term of service and continue serving his country in the Army National Guard for several more years.
One of Bob's proudest accomplishments was becoming a certified Scuba Dive Master in 1981. His love for the water, especially Mexico, drew him to pursue this passion throughout his life. His adventurous spirit and dedication to diving inspired many.
Bob is survived by his children Robert D. Tuckness Jr. (Grey Boyer) and Christina (Anthony) Vigil; sister Marilyn Koons; grandchildren Christian Curran, Riley Vigil, Trenton Vigil, Maddy Vigil; great-grandson Hunter; as well as his beloved dogs, Rudy and Baby Girl.
He is preceded in death by his parents William V. and Josephine Tuckness; brother William V. Tuckness Jr., and sister Grace Johnson.

The visitation to honor Bob's memory will take place from 6-8pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO. The funeral service will follow at 2pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the same location. A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral at Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
