Douglas C. Roberts

Douglas C. Roberts, 62, of Independence, MO passed away February 21, 2007. Services will be 10:00 am Monday, February 26, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, February 24 from 6-8:000 pm at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Salvation Army, or the American Heart Association. Mr. Roberts was born May 20, 1944 in Culver City, CA to Peter F. and Ilmeda Roberts. Before retirement, he worked in the maintenance department at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. He was a wonderful son, faithful husband, a loving father, and grandfather of 6 little cherubs. He was preceded in death by his father Peter and a brother Chris. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda; 2 sons Patrick Roberts and wife Kim, Paul Roberts and wife Rhonda; grandchildren Kaitlynn, Phillip, Jenelle, Peyton, Piper, and Keeley. Other survivors include his mother Ilmeda, brother Pete Roberts and wife Carol, and a nephew Zac, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
