Harold “George” Roberts, 77 of Belton passed away peacefully on Tue. Sep. 11, 2007 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m., Mon. Sep 17, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Council, 3934 Washington St., KCMO 64111. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 �" 8:00 pm, Sun. Sep. 16th at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO with the Rosary being said at 6:00 p.m. The family requests contributions be made to Our Lady’s Youth Center, PO Box 1371, El Paso, TX 79948-1371.
Harold was born on Feb 5, 1930 to Clement and Evena Roberts in Palco, KS. He had been a Machinist with Certain-Teed Corporation retiring in 1995. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed many hobbies. His greatest passion was Missionary work. He had made crucifixes for family and friends. They are now cherished all over the world. He also enjoyed carpentry, art and Model T’s. He married Rosemary Phlieger on Aug 18, 1953. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary, a brother, Tony Roberts and his parents. He is survived by his children, Priscilla Moran, Richard Roberts, Monica Mann, Kathryn Smith, Annette Hug, Donna Vest and Matthew Roberts; twenty-six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Paul Roberts and Michael Roberts. Harold’s entire family will miss him immensely, but find comfort in knowing he is now with his Holy family in Heaven
