Annetta Mae "Ann" Robertson (Purman)

Annetta “Ann” Robertson, 72, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 10, 2015. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Oct. 15, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to YMCA of the Rockies, 2515 Tunnel Rd., Estes Park, CO 80511. Ann was born Aug. 29, 1943 in St. Louis, MO and grew up in the Odessa/Midland, TX area. She attended the University of Texas where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a grants administrator for the Francis Family Foundation. She retired in 2001. She was an accomplished gardener who loved tending her flowers and was a member at Powell Gardens. She was also a classical pianist who played many recitals during her years in western Texas. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Forrest. She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years Bill Robertson (Ret. U.S. Army), of the home; son Todd Myers and wife Kristin, Lee’s Summit, MO; granddaughters Kendall, Emilie, Rachel and Molly and son-in-law Ed Forrest.
