George W. Robinson

George W. Robinson, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. A memorial service will be 2 pm Sunday, May 16th at Hill Cumorah Restoration Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. George was born February 20, 1924 in Otway, OH to George and Rosa Robinson. George married Dorothy Crabtree on July 3, 1942. He worked for Williams Manufacturing for 24 years, and was owner-operator of Robinson�s Sohio Service. After retirement, he moved to Independence and worked at various jobs. George was Baptized in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in August 1961, was ordained an Elder in 1965, and served faithfully to the end. He was a member of Hill Cumorah Restoration Branch. George was preceded in death by a brother, William Robinson, and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Robinson; a brother, Herbert Robinson of Dayton, OH; sisters, Audrey Spencer, and Janet Wiel of Columbus, OH; and a host of friends and relatives.
