Katherine J. "Kitty� Robinson
Katherine Juanita (Thayer) Robinson died peacefully June 9, 2005 at 84 years of age, at The Groves Retirement Center in Independence, Missouri. She was born August 10, 1920 in Marshall, Missouri, graduated from Marshall High School in 1937, moved to Independence shortly thereafter where she became a licensed cosmetologist and hairdresser.
She was a lifelong Community of Christ member, attending Slover Park, Gudgell Park and finally East 39th Street congregations of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She married her loving husband Orson Robert Robinson on December 22, 1941 in New London, Connecticut and traveled with him extensively during his career in the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by her father Earl Arthur Thayer, mother Clara Magnolia Padgett, sister Merle Richardson (Marshall, MO), sister Hazel Thayer (Marshall, MO) and brother Charles Richardson (Valparaiso, IN). Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Thayer Ann and Michael Alberts (Erskine Park, NSW, Australia); son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Sue Robinson (Lincoln, NE); and son and daughter-in-law David and Carolyn Robinson (Plano, TX); six grandchildren including Michael Alberts and wife Michelle (Eagle Vale, NSW, Australia), Melanie Luenenborg and husband Wyatt (San Ramon, CA), Matthew Robinson and wife Melody (Allen, TX), Carrie Darney and husband Ryan (McKinney, TX), Adam Robinson and wife Rebecca (Charlotte, NC); stepdaughter Mackenzie and husband Rylie (Lincoln, NE); nine great grandchildren; brother Robert Sparks and wife Adna (Kirkwood, Missouri); many nieces, nephews and their children.
