Thomas Edward "Tom" Rockers

Thomas E. “Tom” Rockers, 65, Grain Valley, MO passed away Oct. 29, 2016. Memorial services will be at 3 pm, Sat., Nov. 5 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1 pm, before the service at the chapel. Tom was born Feb. 1, 1951 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Raytown High School. He was the owner of Hot Off the Press Printing Company in Independence for over thirty years. Tom loved the beach, bicycling, and muscle cars. But he was most passionate about his family and four grandchildren. He attended St. Marys’ Catholic Church. Tom was preceded in death by his father, John J. Rockers and daughter Michelle A. Rockers. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years Debbie Rockers, of the home; daughters Renee Hodowaine and husband Edward, Grain Valley, MO: Melissa Murr and husband Eric, Kansas City, MO; one grandson Landen; three granddaughters Peyton, Elizabeth and Brielle; his mother Lorene Rockers, Independence, MO and brother Ronald J. Rockers and wife Cecelia, Olathe, KS.
