Nina Ball Rodgers, 75, of Oak Grove, Mo., passed away June 23. She was born May 31, 1941, to Mike and Sally Ball in Byron, Ark., but lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. Nina was a loving mom, wife, sister, grandmother and aunt. She had a deep and abiding faith and remained optimistic, no matter what life handed her. When she wasn't caring for others, Nina loved to square dance with the Silver Shoes Club. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, Jerry and Terry Simpson; and daughter Amy Krebs Miller (Sean). Daughter Cindy Lanea Simpson preceded her in death. She also leaves a sister, Maxine Ball, and brother, J.N. Ball, and four grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, with a memorial service to follow.
