Rodney Dean Craft

Rodney (Rod) Dean Craft was born to Robert E. Craft and Thelma F. Burtch on January 3,1952 in Flint, Michigan. He died on March 22, 2025 after brief but strong battle with cancer in Overland Park, Kansas. Rod is predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Harold Burtch, and stepbrother, Kurt Burtch. He is survived by his brothers, James (Cheryl), Neil (Laura) and stepsister, Kay Bunch (Rick). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnephews and a grandniece, as well as cousins throughout the United States, Canada, and Northern Ireland.

Rod was a proud graduate of Swartz Creek High School, Swartz Creek, Michigan, and Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa. He also received a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri. The MBA degree led to a long career in banking as a senior commercial loan officer at several banking companies in Michigan, Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota. Rod was a member of Rotary International during his banking career and served as president of the Forest City, Iowa chapter before retiring to his lake home on Lake Thunderhead at Unionville, Missouri.

Rod traveled throughout the Western United States taking pictures wherever he went, as well as a having ski trip to New Zealand. He was a avid boater, having a cruiser on Leech Lake, Minnesota for several years, and others he invited family and friends to join him on. He loved to go to the Harris Family Reunions held both in the US and Canada. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and buried near his parents in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan.
