Noah Harris Rogers, 89, went to be with the Lord and his family in Heaven on Monday January 31, 2005. He passed away at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Carson Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Independence, MO. Burial in Salem Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Donations to Six Mile Baptist Church. Noah was born January 29, 1916 in Independence. He was the son of Walter and Eva Rogers. He was a life long area resident and attended Etna, Elm Grove and Oldham schools. In 1935 he married Wanda Bittle with a private service by the Missouri River in Platt County. They were married until her death in 1996. Noah was a professional land surveyor for over 60 years, the majority of the time managing his own company. He had many very interesting stories of the places he surveyed and the things he saw. He enjoyed growing different type of flowers in the yard and especially collecting and restoring various typesstyles of horse drawn buggies. Noah joined the Orient Masonic Lodge #546 in 1972 and was their Worshipful Master in 1980. Noah was a member of the Six Mile Baptist Church.
On October 12, 2000, he married Wilma Wilson. He shared the rest of his life with her and her family. Noah is survived by; a sister, Elizabeth Norris (Queensland, Australia), a son, Winifred "Bud� Rogers, a daughter, Judith Rogers, step-daughter, Donna Fillinger, step-son, Jay Wilson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Noah enjoyed life and brought happiness to his family and friends. He will be missed.
