Barbara J. Rohrman, 78, of Independence, Missouri passed away Monday, October 18, 2004 at her home after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig�s disease). Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 22nd at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 7-9:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the ALS Association. Barbara was born September 15, 1926 in Fall City, WA to Homer and Dollie (Phillips) Ellison, one of 8 children. Mrs. Rohrman retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1984 after 21 years of service. Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Independence, MO. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends from church. Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Barbara is survived by her son Randy Rohrman of Blue Springs, MO; daughter Heidi Conrad and her husband Dave of Grain Valley, MO; grandson Ryan Conrad and twin granddaughters Rachel and Robin Conrad. Also surviving are sister Virginia Richards of Nixa, MO; brothers Howard Ellison of Springfield, MO; Tony Ellison of Ava, MO; sisters Billie Miller of Salmon, ID; Roma Mackey and Joann Pellham both of Ava, MO; brother Jerry Ellison of Ava, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Wray Rohrman in 2001.
