Andrew Philip "Andy" Rosen

Andrew Philip "Andy� Rosen, 57 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday March 6, 2007 at the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, MO followed by a memorial visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Andy was born August 4, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to Wilbert Wally and June (Librach) Rosen and grew up in the St. Louis area graduating from the University City High School in 1967. He then attended Southeast Missouri State College graduating 1971 with a BA in history. He had currently worked as a poker dealer for Ameristar Casino for the past 4 years. Prior to that he owned and operated the Sports Specialist in Blue Springs for a number of years. He enjoyed traveling and gambling and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had been a coach for little league baseball and basketball. Andy was married to Laura (Katz) on March 13, 1969, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Stephanie Rosen of Blue Springs, Mo; a son, Stephen Rosen and his wife Jennifer of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Meredith Chancellor of Columbia, MD; 3 grandchildren, Whitney Rosen, Braiden Rosen and Alexander Rosen all of Blue Springs, MO; his step mother, Patricia Rosen of University City, MO; 3 nephews, Jeffrey Abramson, Robert Katz and Jay Chancellor; a niece, Julia Katz and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Sydney Katz of Overland Park, KS
