Alice I. Ross

Alice Iola Ross, 95, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, December 08, 2006 at Carmel Hills Wellness Center. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Waldo Restoration Branch Church. Alice was born February 9, 1911 in Logan, IA to Fred W. and Anna Agnes (Kirkwood) Lanpher. She was married to Claude F. Ross on February 10, 1934. Mrs. Ross was an active member of the church and was a past member of the Laurel Club. Alice is survived by many nieces and nephews including Jerry Lanpher of Independence, MO and Lisa Banks of Princeton, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Claude in 1982; sisters Ruth Pennell, Alberta Pennell, Fern Sears; brother Ed Lanpher.
