Dr. Frank William Ross, 69 of Kansas City, MO passed away, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Monterey Park Nursing Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Loma Vista Baptist Church, 8622 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64138. Burial with full military honors will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the church. Donations may be made to West Greeley Baptist Church 3251 W. 22nd St, Greeley, CO 80634. Frank was born December 28, 1944 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Center High School and continued his formal education receiving multiple degrees including a doctorate degree in ministry. He served as pastor of churches in Texas, Missouri and Colorado before retiring after 30 years in 2013. He proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam and was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star for his service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the NRA. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joye; a daughter, Hattie Thompson and husband Greg of Plymouth, MN; 3 sons, Maury Ross of Peculiar, MO, Tony Ross and wife Chasity of Kansas City, MO and Nate Ross and wife Galina of Peculiar, MO; a sister, Charlene Lawson of Blue Springs, MO and 7 grandchildren, Sam, Cianna and Mattox Ross, Charlotte, Ross and Violet Thompson and Elisha Ross.
