Leon Rothermel

Leon H. "Rocky� Rothermel, 71, of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, September 5, 2003. A memorial service will be 7:30 pm Tuesday, September 9th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the KCMO Police Benefit Association, or the KCMO Police Care Team. Leon was born October 1, 1931 in West Lawn, PA to Harold and Carrie Rothermel. Leon was a Kansas City Missouri Police Officer, retiring after 26 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of Korea, and an active member of the KC Metro Blue Knights motorcycle club. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by Karen Kelly of Kansas City, MO; Patrick, Jessica, and Bragan Kelly of Lenexa, KS; Karen Rothermel of Kansas City, MO; James Rothermel of Temple, PA; Patricia Wilson of Wernersville, PA; Gwendolyn Kawwell of Reading, PA.
