Gordon Rothrock

Gordon D. Rothrock, 73 of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Research Medical Center Inpatient Vitas Hospice Unit in Kansas City, MO after an extended illness. Cremation is planned with private family services to be held at a later date. Gordon was born May 27, 1939 one of eight children born to George and Katherine Rothrock. Gordon proudly served in the US Army from 1961-67 and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He retired from the US Post Office in Kansas City. Gordon was a very shy and private person but, those who were fortunate to get to know him see him as one of the kindest and sweetest individuals you will ever meet. We will miss him very much. Gordon is survived by two sisters, Loretta Bell of Independence, MO and Joan Howell of Belton, MO and 10 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Warren, Norman, Thurston and Quentin and a sister, Gloria True.
