Ethel Mae Rucker, 82, Lee�s Summit, Mo. formerly of Springfield, passed away April 26, 2005 at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, Mo. Services will be 2 pm, Friday, April 29, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, Mo.; interment at Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. Ethel was born May 29, 1922 in Concordia, Mo. and grew up there. She was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed St. John�s Chapel in Springfield for 18 years. Ethel enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge, and was among the founders of Camp Bluebird, a camp for cancer victims. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Harold E. Rucker, of the home; son Larry Rucker and wife Joan, Fenton, Mo; daughter Linda Hilderbrand, Blue Springs, Mo; grandchildren Cathy Jones and fianc� Kyle Farley, Blue Springs, Mo; Sarah Cash and husband Chris, Houston, Tx; Carie Sullivan and husband Matt, Blue Springs, Mo; great-granddaughter Ryland Jones; brother Robert E. Hartman and wife Bonnie, Rancho Santa Fe, Ca.
