Marjorie Rucker of Sugar Creek, MO passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Seasons Memory Care Center in Lee’s Summit, MO. On February 13, 1936 Marjorie Anne Allen was born in Sugar Creek, MO. She graduated from Northeast High School. Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Virginia and Robert Allen; husband, Billy Gene Rucker; brothers, Sonny and Robert Allen; and sisters, Loretta Norman, Betty Hughes and Lorene Lass. She is survived by her son, Richard Rucker and wife Jana; daughter, Lisa Rucker Stone; brother, Thomas Allen; sister, Joy Eaton; grandchildren, Janel Mullendore, Taylor Rucker, Sean Rucker, Lindsay Stone Burnett and husband Ben, Lauren Stone Davis and husband Clay; as well as five great grandchildren. Marjorie enjoyed sewing, playing with her grandchildren, working in the yard and helping out up at the old Independence Jail. She worked as a bookkeeper for the University of Missouri extension center and enjoyed donating time at the Buckner Park, the Christian Church of Buckner, and working outside with her husband Bill. There will be a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
