Russell Wayne Rue

Russell Wayne Rue, resident of Independence, Missouri, formerly of Louisiana, Missouri, passed away on July 8, 2019 at Independence, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
He was born March 18,1944 to Floyd Russell (Mike) and Juanita Mae (Shade) Rue of Louisiana, Missouri.
He was married to Helen Robbins, who preceded him in death (February 2, 2001), on November 24, 1962.
He attended Bible Baptist College and received his degree in Pastoral Theology in 1979. He was an Assistant Pastor in Omaha, Nebraska (1979-1980) and this is where he was ordained. He Pastored at Faith Baptist Church Barry, Illinois (1983-1985), later He Pastored Trinity Baptist Church in Ridgeway, Missouri (1986-1987). He Pastored Bible Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri (1988-1989). He was a professor at Calvary Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri from (1989-1990). Then he became an Assistant Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri (2003-2014). He worked at Walmart for 26 years (1988-2014)
On January 19,2008, He married Kellie Walker.
He loved spending time with His family. Enjoyed reading and sharing God’s Word with others. He loved His Pontiac!
He is survived by His Wife Kellie Rue of Independence, Missouri, Their two sons Roman and Rylan Rue. Two stepchildren Keith Hernandez and Athena Hernandez.
His children Kelly (Tom) Pitts of Independence, Mo; Judy (Billy) Buck of Buckner, Mo.; Rusty (Alison) Rue of Barnett, Kansas; Roger (Christy) Rue of Independence, Mo.; Renae Rue of Independence, Mo.
His 10 grandchildren Karsa, Thomas and Tory Pitts; Christina, Lynsey, Baylee Buck; Lilly and Abby Rue; Mike and Sadie Rue.
His 4 Great Grandchildren: Jordan Pitts, Jonathan Stark; Joslynn Wright and Jayden Wright.
His Siblings: Betty Robertson of Barry, Illinois; Robert (Eve) Rue, Missouri; Kay (Charles) Love; Fay Smith; Irene (Larry) Smith; Raymond (Candy) Rue, all of Louisiana, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by His Parents Floyd Russell (Mike) and Juanita Rue. Wife Helen Robbins Rue; Siblings Peggy (Rue) Tittsworth; Ronnie Rue and Ruthann (Rue) Snyder.
Visitation will be held Sunday July 14, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at the Speaks Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri. Funeral Services on Monday July 15, 2019 at 10 A.M. Burial proceeding service at Oakridge Memory Garden in Independence Mo There will be a Celebration of life on Tuesday July 16, 2019 at 10 in the morning at Faith Baptist Church in Louisiana, Missouri
