Robert L. Ruester

Robert L. Ruester, 53, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, May 20, 2005 at his home. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Private burial in Witcher Family Cemetery, Marshall Junction, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to New Salem Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Marshall, MO 65340. Bob was born December 5, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Albert and Dovie (Garrett) Ruester. He was a 1970 graduate of Truman High School and a 1974 graduate of William Jewell College. Bob was a member of Kansas City Baptist Temple. He worked for Sears & Roebuck for 28 years in the appliance department at the Independence Center location before retiring in 2002. Mr. Ruester loved to travel the U.S. with his family, visiting many National Parks to camp and enjoy the outdoors. He was a self-taught photographer and also enjoyed studying history. Mr. Ruester is survived by his wife of 30 years, Peggy (Finley) Ruester; son Franklin Ruester; daughter Leslie Ruester, all of the home; father Albert Ruester of Independence, MO; brother William and his wife Cynthia Ruester of Pleasant Hill, MO; mother-in-law Virginia Finley of Marshall, MO.
