Donna Lee Rum, 68, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday morning at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Pebble Creek Assembly of God Church in Kansas City, MO. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Donna was born July 10, 1939 in Junction City, KS to Ralph and Ruby Marie (Oliver) Hayes. She graduated from Glennon High School in Kansas City, MO 1956. She had worked for Hallmark Cards as a Licensing Coordinator for a number of years before she retired. She enjoyed listening to Blue’s music, sewing, walking and artwork. She had a strong faith and was a member of the Sheffield Life Center where she was an active member and did volunteer work. She was married to Pascual Rum on May 11, 1957, he passed away on August 14, 1989. Survivors include; a son, Robert “Rocky” Rum wife Sharon of Independence, MO; 2 daughters, Victoria Rum of Lenexa, KS and Antoinette Rum-Guarino of Independence, MO; her mother, Ruby Marie Hayes of Raytown, MO; 3 brothers, Ralph Hayes of Casper, WY, Glenn Hayes of Shawnee, KS and Paul Hayes of Kansas City, MO; 4 sisters, Sandra Williams of Eskridge, KS, Janice Bass of Lee’s Summit, MO, Ruby Cooley of Lake View, IA and Linda Paul of Ada, MO and 4 grandchildren Adrienna Guarino, Tony Guarino, Andrew Rum and Brittany Rum.
