Jim was born March 5, 1953 in Lindsborg, KS as one of two boys to Adrian Marlin and Lois (Wedel) Rundberg. He graduated with a bachelor’s in business from Kansas State University. Afterwards he pursued a career in banking working for UMB bank for over thirty years, recently as Executive Vice President. He married his beloved wife of 21 years, Theresa (Byers), on February 18, 1994. Outside of work he loved to watch all sports, especially football, and was an avid Chiefs fan. Jim’s family remembers him as a good provider who was dedicated to them. Any one who loved him knew his large and in charge persona. Despite his strong minded nature he was very loving, supportive, understanding, and generous. He is loved and will be missed.
Jim is survived by wife, Theresa Rundberg; and son, Austin Rundberg both of the home; son, Chris Rundberg and wife Shelley of Independence, MO; brother, Daryl Rundberg and wife Marilyn of Salina, KS; and grandchildren A.J. and Alexandra. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family encourages contributions to St. Luke’s Hospice for the wonderful support and care they provided.
