Michael Rupe

Michael Dean “Mick” Rupe, 57, of Kansas City, MO passed away, Monday, August 6, 2007. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. The family will greet friends from 10-11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Graveside services with full military honors at 3:00 in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Veterans organization of choice. Mick was born January 25, 1950 in Independence, MO to James William and Metta (Anderson) Rupe. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. His numerous awards of commendation include the Purple Heart. Mr. Rupe is survived by his significant other Vicki Day; brothers Orval Rupe, James Rupe and wife Sharon, Robert Rupe; and by a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends. Mick was preceded in death by his parents.
