Naomi L. Ruse, 81, of Lee’s Summit, MO, a devout Christian woman, who was very kind-hearted, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2021. Naomi was born on March 15, 1939 in Abilene, KS. She graduated from East High School, in Kansas City, MO in the class of 1957. Naomi then went on to marry Sanford Ruse on May 31, 1957 in Kansas City, MO. To this union, three children were born: Kelli, Carrilee and Doug. Naomi worked as a closing secretary for various title companies for 35 years, before retiring. Her friends and family knew her as a hard worker, who was always well-dressed, but also a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother. Naomi enjoyed playing the piano and marimba for over 60 years and was a very accomplished musician. She also enjoyed crocheting and being involved in the church as a long-time member of the Pittman Rd. Church of God and Christ United Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. Naomi always put others before herself, and was a family-oriented woman who loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed many types of sports, especially football and snow skiing in her younger years.
Naomi is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sanford Ruse; children, Kelli (Darin) Calton of Independence, MO, Carrilee (David) Brown of Lee’s Summit, MO and Doug (Sandy) Ruse of Statesboro, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annetta Anderson (Carr) and her brother, Ronald L. Anderson.
