Ertis Wayne Russell

Ertis Wayne Russell, 76, Blue Springs, Mo. died April 8, 2005, at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 11 am, Wed., April 13, 2005 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Tuesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Assoc. or Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 14500 E. 39th Street, Indep., Mo. 64055. Wayne was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Frederick, Ok. He worked at Armco Steel for 27 years and retired in 1982. He was a charter member of the church and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cecil Leon Russell. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Russell of the home; daughter Billie Buntin, Indep., Mo; sisters Anne Chapman, Winnsboro, Tx; Wanda Emerson, Boliver, Mo; Maxine Davis, Warsaw, Mo; Nada Weaver, Houston, Tx; Agnes Babin, Beaumont, Tx; Alice Sauls, Bon Wier, Tx; and Jerry McMenamy, Hillsborough, Tx; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
