JAMES “JIM” A. RUSSELL
James “Jim” A. Russell, 63, Independence, MO died Oct. 7, 2012. Visitation will begin at 2 pm, Sat., Oct. 13, followed by a memorial service at 3 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Cremation.
Jim was born Sept. 14, 1949 in Independence, MO and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Truman High School in 1967 and in Aug. of that year he began a forty-two years career at Kansas City Southern Railroad. He retired in 2009. He loved electronic gadgets, the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Vikings.
Jim is survived by daughter Stephanie Denk and husband Stephen, Buckner, MO; parents James and Margaret Russell, Kansas City, MO; sister Karen Mitchell, Independence, MO; granddaughters Ashli & Brittany; grandsons Colton & Easton and nephews Jimmy & Brandon.
