J. W. "Buddy" Rutledge

J. W. "Buddy� Rutledge, 86 of Independence, MO passed away, Sat. Sep. 4, 2004 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday, Sep 7, 2004 in Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Rutledge was born on Mar 29, 1918 in Jefferson City, MO and had lived in the Independence area most of his life. He retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad in May, 1979. He was a Veteran of the Kansas National Guard enlisting in 1947. Buddy was a member of the Independence Masonic Lodge #76 and the Eastern Star #329, Independence Chapter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlie A. Rutledge and a daughter, Caryl "Janie� Mika. Buddy is survived by two granddaughters, Sarah Ashley Guardiola and husband Rony and Laura Ann Mika and her fianc�e, Darren Jarman. A grandson, Mark Allen Mika. Two Great grandchildren, Kailey Guardiola and Rylan Jarman and a son-in-law, Mark Mika, all of Independence, MO. A brother and sister in Jefferson City, MO.
