Helen E Sabourin (Wood)

Helen Elizabeth Sabourin formerly of Bay City, MI passed away 8/26/18 in Lee Summit MO at 2:24 PM. She was born in Bay City December 8, 1925 to the late Elroy and Lillian Wood (Underwood).
Survivors include sons, Rodney W Sabourin (Lane), Robert C Sabourin (Emilee), daughter Debra J Remington, grandchildren, Evan Sabourin (Andrea), and Sarah Remington. Her husband Roger J Sabourin preceded her in death on May 3, 1997.
Prior to retirement Helen worked at Consumers Power for 12 years. (1968-1980) she was a devoted member of the Resoration Church of Jesus Christ.
She graduated from Bay City, Central High School Jan. 1944 and attended Graceland College, Lamonia, IA For 1-1/2 years. Helen married Roger Sabourin June 4, 1948.
Helen and Roger traveled extensively in the US, Europe, Asia, South America, Mexico and the Carribean.
She was active in PTA, Cub Scouts, and church camps. She loved to golf, quilt, garden, travel, work picture puzzles and watching her Michigan State Spartan's sports teams.
She had homes in Bay City, Mi, Port Charlotte, FL, and Independence, MO.
