Freida Lavonne Sackman

Freida LaVonne Sackman, 82, of Independence, MO passed away on January 26, 2006. A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel with burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Freida was born on January 22, 1924 in St. Louis, MO to Charles and Aleatha Harbstreet. Freida was a long time member of the Eastside Christian Church and retired after 37 years of service from the Sears and Roebuck Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks, as well as her luncheons with the Sears Birthday Club and her neighborhood bingo club. Freida was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Sue Hatfield. She is survived by her son, Jerry Dean Sackman and his wife Carole; one sister, Charline Clark; five grandchildren, Phillip and Steven Hatfield, Denise Rupska, and Jarvis Dean and Jason Dean Sackman; as well as 9 great grandchildren.
